Beyond Essential, in collaboration with Sustainable Solutions, is working with the Servico Autonomo de Medicamentos e Equipamentos de Saude (SAMES) – the National Medical Stores of Timor Leste – to strengthen medicines procurement, warehousing and distribution. This project has seen mobile electronic inventory (mSupply Mobile) installed on tablet computers in 24 health facilities in Dili District in 2016. This, combined with measures to improve the availability and quality of medicines at the central level, is aimed at improving access to medicines and nutritional supplements for the population of Dili. Beyond Essential is continuing this collaboration in 2017, rolling out improved services to other districts within the country.
